Diabetes Help 4U – My story & not giving up
Have you ever started something and not followed through on it and then became frustrated with yourself?
Well, that is me
I started my blog on July 23, 2016. I had the best intentions in the world. I was going to post at least every month. I know that is a gap and ideally 3x a week, I read, is best to post on my blog but I wanted it to be doable for me. Yikes…
I went a “little” longer than 1 month between blogs. I want to reintroduce you to myself.
Professionally I am a Registered Nurse for 28 years, a Certified Diabetes Educator for 22 years and a Certified Professional Co-active Coach for 15 years. I like to help people. I am sure that is why I became a nurse. I tell my clients I do not have diabetes. I personally do not know what it is like to live with diabetes. What I do have is the experience and honor of working with thousands of people on their walk with diabetes.
Also, I am a life coach. This is where the bonus comes in. Many people know what NEEDS to be done to manage diabetes and then life comes in. Life coaches work with their clients to help them achieve goals, overcome obstacles and make changes in their lives. What I do with coaching is helping people go from where they are now to where they want to be. “We all know what to do it is just getting there.”
Personally I am happily married to Robert. He is also in the health care field and is an Emergency MD in a busy Emergency department in Rochester, New York. I also have 2 wonderful children, Matt and Danielle. Both of them are in their 20s and out of the house building their lives. I have a cute bunny that is 12 years old. In my free time I enjoy exercising and traveling
Now that you know a little about me….
